MetaMask Demanding KYC Docs Or Suspension
Anyone can confirm this is true? If so, there goes the whole reason for bitcoin and the rest.
I received this yesterday. Is it phishing? Dear User, We are writing to inform you that in order to continue using our wallet service, it is important to obtain KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. KYC verification helps us to ensure that we are providing our services to legitimate customers. By completing KYC verification, you will be able to securely store, withdraw, and transfer funds without any interruptions. It also helps us to protect you against financial fraud and other security threats. We urge you to complete KYC verification as soon as possible to avoid suspension of your wallet. |
Can't help - sorry :(

Yeah, no problem. It's been pretty much cut adrift after all the hacking and scamming in last couple years. It wouldn't really affect us at this point. It seems the ones still pushing crypto are the scammers.
I guess KYC will kill a lot of things. |hellomoto| |
Definitely phishing.
Bitcoin wallets are downloaded for you to own. The only way KYC can be required is if 3rd party is involved, ie: exchanges like Coinbase, Binance, etc Metamask is for Ethereum, should be the same. |
