We had an ice storm last night. There's about 1 cm of ice on EVERYTHING! The power has been out since around Midnight, but we have the backup generator, so life is basically normal inside this house, except my step-daughter was supposed to fly out to LA on vacation this morning, but fights are all delayed, so she's here with the dogs |facepalm|

Verizon upgraded my internet. Are these good speeds?

That's Bell FIBE Gigabit service. There are 4 of us here during the day so we need it.

Today is another half day of taking my BIL places. He is getting better. The question now is will the cure kill him? The drugs he is on cause stroke, heart attack and kidney failure if not properly monitored. He's not great at taking pills when he supposed to or generally taking care of himself. His latest drug, Aranesp,costs $7,000 for a two month treatment! It can only be dispensed at the hospital pharmacy (and it's Canada so there is no charge to him).

Other than that, I have to squeeze a day's work with less hours in the day.

Battlebots on TV tonight. That's something worth looking forward to.

Yesterday cable/internet was restored about around lunch time so that was fortunate as I really did not need it until then. Though that tree was still block one of the roads leading to my house.

There is a small chance of the Hollywood sign getting snow and So Cal has blizzard warnings around local mountains. For the most part it's rain around here for the next week. The highway to Las Vegas closed down for a bit due to snow and ice around the Nevada border yesterday as well. Hope she packed warm clothes.

I hear a downpour outside so need to check a couple of things.

That's pretty good |thumb I had Bell regular and was getting 90 down, 10 up and it was "manageable" for work without issue. Almost 300 down and 90 up, very good!

But NOW, my internet is fast AF :D Like Art, I now have Bell Fibre as of a few months ago |banana|

Stuff uploads FAST. I used to have to start an upload before going to make coffee or lunch so it would finish as it took 30 minutes or more. Now they upload in like 2 minutes :D
