New or Experienced Surfer - Who's a better paying member?

I would go for the experienced surfer.. they have all seen the crappy free stuff over and over again so they might be tempted more to give a few $$ for quality porn while new surfers are looking for that mass amount of free porn on the internet they've heard their friends talk about...

On the other hand, a new surfer can be tricked into getting out his CC much easier than experienced surfers who just overlook the ads..

So frankly, I have no clue :D

Good copy sells to any surfer new or old. :D

Dare I suggest that newbie surfer is good for pay per signup, the experienced one good for retention?

That's a tough one without a pile of facts to back it up - LOL - I have to assume there's a nice mix of all of the above choices.

If you asked 3 years ago, I'd have said "newbies" but I don't think there are as many newbies these days.

I would be interesting for a pay site to have a poll for it's members & then post that info.

I agree with Greenie, sort of. I think there are just as many newbies if not more these days but, they are getting spammed and jerked around to death. 3 years ago, good free stuff was too easy to find. And any veteran knew where to look for it. It took a true newbie to think that you had to join a pay site to really find the good stuff.

I am still and always have been of the impression that the only reason a pay site member stays a member is because they forget to quit :)

In my experience over the years, I'd have to say the newer surfer would be more apt to pay....

But, I do agree, these days they are getting screwed around so much it might be a deterent....also, now that I think about it, newer surfers might be more leary putting in their cc info after listening to the media time and time again report about breeches yadda yadda yadda

It really is a tough call....

imho the "experienced surfer" can find anything they want for free. You need some real original shit to get these people to pay.
The general pay site with your 1000's of pictures from 1980 and live videos isn't enough.
For newbies it may be easier, but all the shit scammers and bullshit around, makes people think twice before taking out the card
