Please, tell me Your problems when submitting galleries
 

If You are into submitting galleries to TGPs or MGPs, please, tell me the most usual problems u face with. Is it payment for hosting or finding the content, autosubmitter You use has limited potential and a lot of bugs to fix or smth else? Or maybe You're just a newbie and do not know how and where to submit, don't have templates or what?

My biggest problem is just not getting listed, period. It's a long, hard trial-and-error process to find which TGPs will actually list your galleries, even assuming every single posted rule is followed. remember, there is no slack given, ever, when it comes to following the TGP's rules. |skull|

yep. we all have to sit in front of our computers and wait for the galleries to get listed. That is one of the problems.
But what are the problems that can can be solved but You cannot do it now (whether it's a matter of money or knowledge, or You just haven't seen any solvation - no such scripts or software or smth else)?

Aside what has already been said, here are my pet peevs about TGP posting:

1. Description limitations that do not use error checking code. I have only seen one TGP that went through the trouble of validating the form. So if my description is too long or short, I get an error and have to fill out the form again.

2. Random sumbit codes that humans can't even read. I think Pornadise has the toughest. I swear I have to submit a couple times before I get the code right.

3. Submit forms that do not specify the size of the thumbnail to be submitted. I even had one that ask for 90 x 120 but only accepted some weird size.

do You handsubmit or use a submitter (with manual option i mean)? if that is a yes, then the problem is with TGP auto-submitters, right?

I use chameleon submitter to manually submit. The problems do not arise due to the submitter program.

For form validation, I think this would be a nice feature. I would hit the submit button on their form and the error would spit out that my description was too long. I would then edit it and it would be too short. Simple form validation would help solve this problem.

The random submit codes I don't mind inputting. I understand their purpose and respect the owners reason for using them. My gripe is that some of them are very difficult to read. For example... oO0... which one is a lower case o, upper case o and a zero. Depending on the font it can get really ugly.

Specifying the thumbnail size right on the form is just a matter of usability. Yes it may be in paragraph seven of the rules but I'm only human so putting the thumb dimensions right on the form is nice.

I hope you can use this to make your TGP's more submitter friendly.

It always amazes me that TGP owners can't just tell us what they want.

Just let us know what size descriptions and thumbs you want.

New Chameleon Submitter supports all sample thumbnail sizes (there's required dimensions for every site in database) and will automatically crop all thumbnail sizes before submitting

One more funny reason..
they all write they want simple and clean galleries on the rules then they are rejected as the html was too small.
