sponsors that don't reply to emails

Do you promote them?

Over the last few days I have been trying multiple times to email a sponsor with a simple question regarding their promotional material. But I have yet to receive a reply. This is an established sponsor and I am using their own request form which seems to be their only source of support. :(

Fearing I would get the same if I had a real problem I no longer feel safe promoting this program. Needless to say it will not get the attention it would have gotten had I received a reply to my simple question.

So I guess what needs to be said is if you have a sponsor program be sure to have adequate support for your affiliates. Or you will be losing them.

To answer your question in one word: No. There are too many programs where they understand helping the webmaster make money makes them money.

That is pretty much where I am at Surfn.

I had plans of working this a bit but have written them off now.

Yeah if a sponsor doesn't answer my e-mails or something I just move on to another sponsor.

Something similar happened to me a few weeks back with a notable sponsor (known to frequent this board). I signed up and waited to be approved. Couple days went by and nothing. I emailed and told them how keen I was to get started with them. No reply. I'd purchased 50K hits to a new site and I wanted their links predominantly on the top portion of the main page.

I eventually pmed them here and was told to email someone to look into it! LOL

So these dickheads lost me before I even got started with them. On principle I would never join them now. The correct response of the person I contacted would have been to say, "Oh, damn, I'm terribly sorry Kristian. I'll look at your info right away myself, and get you hooked up pronto. Expect an email from me when it's sorted."

Instead, I'll paraphrase, "I'm going on vacation. Email such-and-such about it."

Luckily . . . as surfn rightly says, there are enough good sponsors who know how to look after their affiliates.

:)

It's the case of Nasty Dollars, they hardly reply to emails. I quit promoting them because of this. |pissleft|

... and what about a sponsor whose free hosted galleries have too many 404 errors, and a week after telling them using their 'trouble ticket system', the errors are still there?

I'll take Surfn words and look for another sponsor to list their free hosted galleries in my sites
