Critique my first site?
 

Hi I'm new to the boards.

I've been doing TGP galleries for a long time but just recently decided to venture into free sites.

I was wondering if some link list owners would be kind enough to take a look at my first site and critique it for me. I submitted this to about 20 link lists the other day and it seems most have decided not to list it.

I did have one webmaster tell me that she did not list due to it being non-nude. But I'm wondering if there's anything else that's really obvious that I'm missing and should watch out for.

Another thing .. I used different pages to recip different link lists since I can't put 20 recips on a single page. It is common practice for galleries, but is it generally an issue for link list owners ? I wasn't sure if that would be considered a "doorway page" or not.

You do have a broken recip image, but other then that it is a very nice site.

I have no problem with doorways ass long as there are other places also sending traffic to it and it is named properly (not index1 index2 etc.).

I just checked the page and I don't see the broken recip you're talking about.

Also, if index1, index2 is not an acceptable naming convention then what would you prefer be used?

Your site looks like the same template that Nubiles net uses. Do you work for them? Is this one of their free sites?

Oh dear you're right :( I didn't catch that. I thought it was supposed to be text link.

Edit: I just checked in IE and sure enough it's a big red X. I use firefox which defaults to the alt="" text if the image is broken.. which is why it looked like it was supposed to be a text link for me.

I didn't use a template. I made the site from scratch. But I will be honest and say that it was inspired by a nubiles free site. I didn't take any html or graphics though.. it's all original. Just a similar layout.. I'm actually pretty disappointed that you noticed such a similarity .. I thought I had made it different enough :(

I have never understood what people are trying to achieve with huge headers belonging to the sponsor on their free sites??!

It would be declined here.. Your site is not "Next door Nikki", so why does it say it at the top of every page?

Its deceptive, a waste of space and bandwidth IMO

It says "Next Door Nikki In Pigtails" .. which describes the content featured on the site. I agree with your point .. but my site doesn't just say "Next Door Nikki" .. I elaborated to include the content featured.

If that is still not enough then do you have any suggestions for what someone would title a page like that? It is a site who's soul purpose is to feature and promote Next Door Nikki afterall.

Would 'Pictures of Next Door Nikki' be less deceptive for you ?

"Next Door Nikki In Pig Tails" is fine for a site title, but the addition of the yellow header causes the problem. It dominates the page and looks like the sites true title.

Next time you do a Next Door Nicki site, and use that header again... you may get declined for "templates"..:(

This site would work just as well without the yellow header on each page and the text title "prettied" up a bit.


Plenty of people will list it as is... but that doesn't make it the best way to do it...

Normally I would recomend not to use the unlinked thumbs on the main page.

I think the do a good job teasing the surfer about addtional content available at your sponsors site.

I thought some LL would reject sites using unlinked thumbs.

What is the opinion of the reviewer/owners here?

I wouldn't list it simply because she isn't Naked.
The unlinked thumbs really aren't a problem with this particular site.
I would lose the Blinking gif at the bottom of the gallery pages...it's annoying. Annoying doesn't make for a happy surfer.

What works and sells for Tgp's doesn't always work by simply combining 2 gallery pages and adding an index and main page.
I know Cleo does exactly that, but her galleries and sites take a bit of both with her own selling and site building style.

The gallery pages that sponsors create are mostly horrible and you can spot them from across the room.

Could you explain when unlinked thumbs are ok and when they are not?
