Mark's Links under major rebuilding
 

Mark's, as of about 8:00 pm last night, closed submitions for a few days.
Converting ALL 10,000+ links to a new database system.
New Link script and review admin -
New Layout and how the links are displayed.
Enhanced Friends script area.
Sponsor gallery/free site admin.
Multiple reviewers option, of course.
Increased BL and Cheaters admin
And and a bunch of stuff I still don't understand quite yet how it works, or how to use it.

My oldest son is programming it all. (don't ask me a single technical question - I don't have a clue)

I'm sure there will be some bugs to work out, but give him a month or two and he will be available for custom programming, banners, and when I'm confident it works, his LL script.
Hell he has his own site, I'll post the url when's this is ready for release by the end of the summer we're hoping.

Some of you have been blasted today by emails, sorry about that, need to clear out All submits before converting over.

will post "preview" URL's as things progress, and will need input on background colors etc... (MML - did get the 1st sneak peek last night.. lol)

Submit status IS on track to open on the 17th, but it may still be a few days to clear bugs. Meaning, if you submit a site, we will have it, but it may take a few more days until we're sure everything is ready for the new layout.

I told Evan (my son) 6 months ago to go ahead and completely remake Marks (even prior to the totalnic stuff), and gave him a deadline of June 15th.
He will miss his 6 month deadline, but only by days, not weeks, not months.

dareutwo I looked around a little and liked the little details you guys added and just like anything done right it takes loads of time, have fun and its allways nice to make a little cash along the way..

I clicked the totalnic "re-register" link on the old domain the other day and it said the renewal was approved.

Ran into a few snags (we which we expected would happen)
Submits should re open tomorrow night.
However, Reviews and listings may not be until next week some time.
Ran into "build" process using too much cpu, so today Evan wrote a java program for the server that relieves that bottleneck.
(that program should work on any server)

As for the original domain - I still can't get past the "it's their problem". Australia says it's Colorados problem, Colorado says it's Australias problem. I just like sending letters out every Monday. |angry|
Since they already have the money, didn't think it would be too much of a hassle.
I guess you can never even mention "lawyer" on the phone.
