What do you guys use to take screen grabs of videos?
 
I am looking for some different programs and such.

Anybody have a good program they use?

We use snatch it on a daily basis. The auto thumb feature and the ability to queue up dozens of source movies is key.

I purchased Snatch It, I'm not getting the quality I wanted/was expecting with .wmv vid files.....any suggestions

Grand, try using windows movie maker.

I just used it for 200 thumbnails and it's pretty easy and I like the quality.

Juicy, if you're ripping from DVD, check out CyberLink's Power DVD ... takes good caps and is a pretty nice player. However, you still have to cap by hand.. which is annoying, but otherwise you get lots of blurs using those automated screen-cappers.


Edit: Just realized how old this thread was... ahh well.

What type of videos Juicy?

I use powerDVD for DVD screen caps... for other videos i use ACDsee.

personally, i use and recommend vegas video, grab their free trial to see if it works for your needs!

I will go ahead and throw in my vote for SnatchIt as well - Jay turned me onto it and I couldn't live without it!
