Removing mconnect
 

Ok, having a bugger of a time with this one -
Not sure which kid of mine found it, but I can't seem to get rid of a file called "mconnect.exe"
Norton finds it all the time, but it doesn't delete or quarantine it.
Any hints????
And Cleo don't say a thing about using a Mac |smooch|

Did you try deleting it from the registry?

Use Linux! (or Freebsd)


you might try booting in safe mode if its not letting you remove it due to being "in use"

Got it -
Deleted the entire "Temporary Internet" folder - yes, the whole folder.
Then created the folder again.

Sould be back to normal - whatever normal is.. LOL

I do the same thing every 3-4 months. Gets rid of a bunch of garbage. |bananna| |bananna| |bananna|

ya,, I cleared my whole temp internet folder last night... somehow I lost my whole email database.. all submissions to me lost... sigh...

That's one of the reasons I keep my email on the server until it's called by me. I don't think the email is in the internet temp file though. You sure you didn't delete other things?

I cleared everything in temp, temp internet files and history

Before you clear the temps next make a file in your email name it something like "new" and put everything in there first then clear the temps.
