How has June gone for you?

I read Jim's newsletter about the Summer slow down.

Although my site has only been online 4 mos, May was horrible.

However, this month is shaping up to be really good- best yet.

I'm wondering about those of you with sites a year or more old...

How has May and the month of June been for you thus far relative to years past?

Cleo 2004-06-26 09:15 PM

I'm one of those that uses her mailbox for stats so some checks this moth may be income from last month but some of this month's income may not show up until next month.

That being said…

So far this whole year has been pretty decent for me. I only need one more nice check in the mail this month for it to be a record month. |bananna|

I'm down about 15%, which, since I dont make a lot isnt a lot :p

and i always fluxuate, but, summer usually is a steady dip. I've had worse summers tho (summer of 2002 was awful).

But, one of the smartest things i've ever heard in the business is "keep building and they will come". Keep doing what was successfull for you, keep the traffic coming in and your ads ready for viewing and even if you dont directly make cash from it this summer, all that work will be ready for the fall influx :)

First 3 weeks were excellent. This past week has been horrible, yet yesterday and today things are back to normal. Who knows, I give up trying to figure out trends!

No slowdown here...

$30,000,000 so far. Which is the equivalent value of a pack of cigs after the exchange rate here in the uk. (Let's hope Kerry does better) :D

This month is better then I exspected it to be here at Extreme. I know that there is a summer slow down, but seriously June has been very good for us. I have high hopes that the rest of this summer will go as well too.

I can't complain about june.

finnbear 2004-06-28 07:05 AM

This month seems to be a nice one. Better than May. That saying "build and they will come" is true. |bananna|

Greenguy 2004-06-28 07:56 AM

My revenue for June is down 25% from May, so things suck on my end :(

Of course, there's still 3 days of checks to come in :D

DangerDave 2004-06-28 04:09 PM

Actually here in Florida it is too fucking hot to do outdoor stuff here so I end up staying indoors and doing tons of web work since there really isn't anything else to do. In fall I'll start doing outdoor stuff again and in winter the weather is just way too nice to stay indoors.

My Linklist is having the best month since the start.. but then again.. that was only 4 months ago :)
The rest is about the same

CaptainJSparrow 2004-06-28 05:18 PM

We haven't noticed a slowdown this summer. It's difficult to compare June with other months because we're continually growing in the search engines and June's been very good to us. We will make a little over $10,000 more in June, than we did in May. I've been doing this since 1996 and have never noticed a summer slowdown...heard lots about it, but never experienced one (I'm knocking on wood right now).

Exactly ! Thats what my situation is in June...

Pusher 2004-06-28 09:12 PM

My sales are up about 20% since May...but so if my traffic (Thank you Google|shake| ) My earnings per click have been constant at $0.05 for the past few months...so no slowdown here :)

OzKaNoz 2004-06-28 09:21 PM

Its a bit slow this month as compared to other months. But I think it is my own fault because I have been tied up with a new main stream business that we've just started this month.
