Florida or Bust!
 

Well, the time is here, tomorrow I jump into a u-haul (that’s loaded to the max) that’s hauling a jeep (that’s loaded to the max) and I’m driving ONE WAY to Melbourne Florida!|sun

Unfortunately KatVixen has 2 family emergencies to tend to and she will be joining me in about 2 weeks. She was going to fly back anyway on July 6 for a week to help her mom deal with a surgery, but then her grandmother passed away last Friday, so we decided it was best for her to join me after the funeral and surgery.

But I will have 3 cats with me, 2 of which will be drugged!|potleaf|

I will be staying the night in Columbia, SC tomorrow and then drive the rest of the way and I hope to have internet access that night.

This has been an interesting week to say the least.

So far I’ve had a “good omen”, my trillion decided to die on me tonight, so most of you who I have added in the last few months on ICQ I will be begging to add you back on my list. But that will be in a few days when I am in SUNNY FLORIDA!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the problems you are going through.

You are moving down to Florida at the wrong time of year, this is the hothothot season! Like to say we will be neighbors but you are moving to the opposite coast from me.

I moved down from Ohio at the beginning of the year. The amazing thing is that I have met more people from Ohio in Florida than I did when I lived in Ohio:D

have fun in florida man, i moved down to florida last year (from illinois) and i love it, and yes this is the hothothot time of year, but still u can hook up the tan and sweat your ass off at the clubs |bananna|

Oh man - sorry to hear about the surgery & Kat's grandmother passing :(

I moved 7 miles 3 years ago & vowed I'd never move again, so I can only imagine how it is to move 2000 miles - LOL

The timing of the move has keep my mind from dwelling, but I know that will change in the next few days. :(

And I hope the majority of the stress will be over in the next few weeks.

Since I'm going to be at my folks & they have dial up, I'll probably won't be online until I get to Florida, myself. So you all have a good couple weeks.

The first 5 hours were absolutely pure hell. |angry| The cats kept crying loud and long. And after 5 hours it dawned on me I was sweating like mad, the fucking AC didn’t work, so they wasn’t crying over the ride, but over the heat, never seen them panting before.

Stopped and got Ice and some bags and gave each one a bag of ice and they all got quite as soon as I gave it to them, they even slept on the ice.

Man did that make me feel like shit, took me 5 hours to realize my cats were dying.|sad|

But after that it was pretty much a easy trip, AC came on/off a lot, mostly when I hit a big bump. It worked almost all day yesterday.

Now it’s just the fun of unpacking.

First time I have been on line in 3 days except for 10 mins yesterday. And now it's time to go out for dinner.

Well..........it's my turn to make the trip. I'll be making the trip tomorrow morning.

We couldn't fit everything in that huge U-haul that Torn took down. So I'm now going to tow a trailer.

Torn is not happy about me making the trip without him, but it had to be done. I know he'll be much happier once in I'm in Florida with him & I know I will be. |smooch|

Thanks everyone, I'm finally here. Arrived about an hour & half ago, we got my u-haul unloaded (yes, we both had u-hauls & my truck will be happy to be rid of it, lol). Torn is turning in the trailer now....

I'm so happy the trip is done, the Smokey Mts. are gorgous but hell on my poor dakota's v-6.......lets just say you could not pay me enough to be a semi-driver, especially through those.

Time it hit the shower & get ready to have dinner with Dan & Lisa of Camz & maybe Brett & Sammy........woo, a social life with adults, I've been kids that last 2 weeks..... |jester| This may spoil me.

Maybe chill out later...|rasta| before I attack the house. :D
