Paragraph as one Link

As far as geneeral acceptability goes...would it be OK to make an entire paragraph one link? I could always just make it one large image but SE's wouldn't like that. :)

Altheon, you can make a "one link pagagraph" look good.

Example Paragraph 1 possibly could be an example of Surfn's dislikes.

Example Paragraph 2 shows an example of one that might look better.

Why do you want the whole para linked?

Wouldnt it just be easier to link the app. words.?

It sound a little SE spammy to me.. and could count against you?

Now that is a damn good point.

It was not his original question, but I can see where it is benefical to combine an image with underlying text.
