Need your help please!
 

Hi everyone I really need some advise here.

I have created this page here

The idea is that you can use your webcam and just click the screen to start sending video. If you go to this link in the AM usa time you should a bunch of people mostly Swedes webcamming and chatting. I'm thinking I want to turn this "page" into something other webmasters can add to their sites.

I was thinking of having a free version with ads and a pay version that was ad free. We can have a DVD playing 24/7 on one of the feeds as an option?

My questions are:

Is this something you as a webmaster might consider using?

What do you think you would be willing to pay for something like this?

Are there any ways you can think of to improve my offering?

Since my expertise is in programming these things and not selling them, is anyone out there interested in helping me market something like this?

Do you have to supply chat hosts or is supposed to be just for surfers to talk to other surfers?

I only run free stuff so I would only be interested in something free with ads.

You could provide your own chat hosts or play DVD's or tapes or have house cams or just let the sufters amuse themselves. I guess it would depend on what kind of site you have?

I was thinking along the same lines as Cleo...

Offer it to webmasters as a free plugin with adverts in it..

Reason I asked about the chat host thing was that i was thinking the more websites that used the free service, the more users would be online for everyone... which I see as very good thing.


I must say, I really like it... in fact I love it.. I love the simplicity of it... how fast it loads... how well it allows users with or without webcams to participate... I would love being able to play a video advertisment feed in one window too btw ;-)


Can see loads of applications for it to... If I owned one of the smaller webcam sites I would like to buy it from you for use as an interactive "Lobby" .

I own a domain that is languinshing with a crappy webcam plugin on it right now.... and have a sneaky suspicion you might think it is just perfect to try something of yours on http://reallivecam.com ;-)

PS... Do you know what are the legal issues about allowing anyone to broadcast anything?

I clicked around and it does load fast. It also works very well on my Mac using Safari. :)
