Sites Removed From GG?
 

Hi Folks,

This is just to inform all the LL I submit to that my domain is back up and running. It was down for a few days; unknown to me my host decided to move servers and as a result my sites were down which saw my recently submitted sites dropped from the Green Guys Link O Rama and also a site denied e.mail from Penisbot.
This is just to inform all LL owners who I submit to that I have been guaranteed by my host that there will be no more disruption with this site.
The domain that was down is 'free-squirrel-porn.com' and all sites in question were free sites that sat on this domain.
I would like to get the sites that were dropped by GG back up is it just a case of re-submitting?.
What concerns me though is I have read the info regarding sites that have been removed and if I understand it correctly it means any site showing a 404 gets it on the 'Shitlist'? is this correct? If so, what to do about it?
The host says it will credit my account!! What price GG and PB regular listings? :)

See if your domain or email are here - http://bl.usefulscripts.com/blocked/

If not then it is just a matter of re-submitting as per the usual rules.

Downtime wont get you blacklisted... 404's will!

I am not seeing that domain on the black list at all is there another one ?

It was just a case of downtime although more than an accepted 24 hrs so I was a bit concerned. It happened to several domains I have with this host but they are all back up and running now.

I probably am showing my ignorance here but I thought when a site didn't show it brought up a 404 error page. So what is the 404 error that will get a site banned?

I just assumed my sites were showing this error but obviously they weren't. I will re-submit to GG and PB. Thanks,

No that was the domain in question. It was just a case of downtime, I will re-submit the sites that were taken down. They were all free sites that sat on the domain it appears I was getting my Error codes mixed up.

If your host is "down" then our linkbots etc, will show a "DNS error" - Downtime happens to all.. so you wont get punished for it... though your sites may get removed.. No use having dead links onboard.

Most, if not all, link lists would then accept the sites back as re-submissions.

A 404 will occur if your domain is up.... but the page you submitted is not there..

That will get you blacklisted 100% of the time.!

That explains it. I will re-submit the sites in Q.
I can understand my sites getting dropped that's understandable.
I just assumed that when a page was down the surfer got a 404 error and that's what had me concerned when I read the 'site removed' reasons on Link O Rama. Alls well now though,
