Link Fabulous

Just a little reminder here...

Link Fabulous does not accept any free sites with sponsor content :)

Thanks
K

Does that apply to single-model sites? (Specifically I'm thinking of several Lightspeed sites.)

Kezza 2004-07-14 11:48 PM

Mishi, I agree it is difficult to promote a single model site without her content.

Email or icq me and we will see what we can work out :)

I have said it before... but it seems I need to say it again...

Link-Fabulous.com DOES NOT accept free sites that use sponsor content!

After deleting 75 I really think that we are all wasting our time here

Dont waste your time submitting... save that recip spot for a LL that will accept your site :)

Any question feel free to contact me :D

grzepa 2004-11-12 06:49 AM

I have to admit I was submitting sites with sponsor content from time to time knowing that LF doesnt accept those... I just had my recip table done some time ago, and pasted it to the new site I made and was hoping it'll get through :)

I removed LF recip now, and Im adding it only when I use bought content

Linkster 2004-11-12 07:17 AM

Kezza - not trying to hijack it here :

But LinkForSex does not accept sponsor content either - unless previously arranged personally with me - I also am getting sick of deleting sites submitted every day even though its been in my rules for a while - and guess I will just have to start adding people that submit with it to the BL.

ponygirl 2004-11-12 07:39 AM

please don't think of this as a bonehead question :) but when LLs talk about sponsor content I usually think of the stuff with the big branding logos on it, is this why you don't accept it? some sponsors have very nice unbranded content, is this a no-no too?

(just want to make sure I stay FAR away from the BL!!)

thx,
Ponygirl

Linkster 2004-11-12 07:51 AM

ponygirl - most of the LL owners know which content the sponsors offer - especially the bigger ones - while the logos are a giveaway Id say that most of us have seen just about every set a sponsor has at least a few times. The other problem is that some of the sponsors that do supply pics without the logos tend to have vid cap pics instead of real photos as their sponsor content which tends to be blurry or just poor quality.

blind 2004-11-12 08:41 AM

Hi Linkster, you've got a PM ;)

Linkster 2004-11-12 08:46 AM

blind - answered :)

ponygirl 2004-11-12 09:05 AM

Linkster - yes, I would imagine most LL owners have seen it all :D

ok, time to go shopping!! ;)

its like linkster mention to many sponsor content is used....sponsor content without logo isnt that bad if its not on every site which get submitted. and its not a bone head question|waves| better asking then getting the wrong idea

Lemmy 2004-11-12 10:11 AM

@ Kezza: Oops... I guess I should have read your rules more closely. Sorry.

@ Linkster: Your rules say you *probably* won't get listed w/sposor content, which is why I have persisted in submitting(and I actually get a few hits from you), but I'll save you for bought content from now on.

koolkat 2004-11-12 04:42 PM

Ok... my bad Kezza... I was one of those boneheads. I looked at so many site rules yesterday that I apparently overlooked that one.

Linkster... as Lemmy mentioned, the word "probably" is what threw me as well. You can just delete my submission if you haven't already done so if you don't want to list it.

Not a hijack at all! I am glad you jumped in :)

Link Fabulous has not accepted sponsor content for over four years. It has always been clearly stated in the rules.

Reasons:

1. The rule was already in place when I took over
2. Sponsor content becomes very old very quickly
3. Link Fabulous has always tried to be unique in its theme and content.
4. Link Fabulous has always tried to give surfers a unique experience and sponsor content does not offer that

Content in general is pretty cheap... just shop around a bit. There are many great threads on here that will point you in the right direction, Just yesterday Linkster mentioned a couple a good ones in another thread,

Content is also a good investment into your business and can be used for many purposes to promote many different sponsors,, you can let your imagination run wild!

I have arrangements with a handful of sumitters who have been associated with Link Fabulous over many years... If you think that you might fall into that category... give me a shout.

The absolute main reason I posted about this was my reviewer was pulling her hair out and going crazy... and mu number one aim is to keep her happy and snug and warm!!!! |flowers|
