I did a whois on it to find out which of the assholes owned and it turns out that it already expired.

So I bought it myself for $15. (I already owned the .net and .org)
My net savings: $74.95
Scumbag domain thief's profit: $0.00

Have you been getting the snail mail domain renewal notices with companies you've never heard of? I've gotten a few "reminder" notices that my domain is expiring, but they fail to mention that I'm not registered with them in the first place!

Its funny you should bring that up - I just got an email from some asshole letting me know that a domain was about to expire - of course it wasnt one that I owned - but was a .us of the .com I have - they even had all of my whois info in the email so they did some spidering - but it sure would have sounded convincing to someone that doesn't deal with domains on a regular basis - thank goodness Im a domain nut :)

WTF? I do own fetishfreakshow.com, which we just launched this past week. So it would seem he's emailing me directly with related websites.

BUT.... No one owns freaksho.com either. (Although someone does own freaksho.net)

I really don't understand why he would be trying to sell me domains that they don't own. Is this just spam for Dommerce? Or an affiliate who gets a kick back for getting people to register?

A few domain names we own awe've found for sale.
NOT that "we're" offering them for sale but, these assholes have them for sale in the 100's to the 1000's of dollars range.

A couple of them I wrote to and said "If you do get $5000.00 for it....shit, I'll take it!" lol
