The world may be ending soon

I say this because something went right for me.

We have a Sony TRV 30 Mini dv that we have had for 3 years or so, and I love to use it, so of course it's no longer available.

But for the last year or so the lens has been getting really loose, as in I thought it was going to fall off at anytime and since we have to use a wide angle lens that's made it worse since the wide angle is heavy as hell.

I finally broke down and took it in 2 days ago and they wanted $240 to even look at it but I was only willing to spend $100 since we paid $1200 3 years ago for the camera.

So today I bought some small screwdrivers for $6 and reluctantly I took the casing apart and low and behold it was just 3 loose screws that took me all of 1 min to tighten.|bananna|

So I spent total 15 mins and $6 on a $240 fix job.

Damn thing even works still.......

SCARY!

I have some broken electronic devices here. Maybe I'll bring them to Internext Miami so you can fill your free time there :D

I know exactly what you mean, Torn
As everyone knows...I have had some problems with my bike since I went from 80 cubic inches to 110. This morning, on my way to the post office, all of a sudden, only one piston was firing. I just knew, after 3 prime weeks of it sitting at the dealer, it was going back for more. When I got to the post office, I looked at the motor and noticed one of the spark plug wires hanging. I have no idea how it came off, but it did. I plugged it back on the plug and the bike ran better than new. :)

I was really dreading opening the casing up, never done it before and we use that camera for damn near everything so if I fucked it up we would have to go buy another ASAP and that idea just pissed me off since they offer nothing I like to replace it with under $2500

So I am in a good place right now.

Its fun to do your own repairs - I been doing it for 20 years being a ASE, GM Certified tech.. I can rebuild engines factory or race, The most advanced computer controlled transmissions and transaxels, Weld and fab, build and race drag cars bodyword and paint - hell I even make from sctatch my own fiberglass hood for my drag car, I made a mold from my orginal hood and then made the hood from the mold.. And another thing I made from steel tubing was a double jetski trailer - A whole lot of welding LOL And Me and a buddy made two at the same time..

I rebuild motorcycles, jetski motors, snowmobiles just about anything that runs or works around the house..

And also build computers as I would never buy a vender PC

Oh and when I was 14 I worked at a pawn shop, my dad was friends with the owner and me and another guy would once in awhile try and fix the shit that came through the place and if we fucked it up we would hide it from the owner hehe and funny thing about the building the upstairs was a old doctors office and they had medical posters of a pussy - And yes every time I had to fetch something upstairs I would look at it - LOL

sorry to brag on
