LINKLIST cheaters!!
 

I m staring a new linklist and already have a lot of cheaters redirecting their links or removing the linkback etc...

What script you guys using to keep your linklist clean?

The best link checker has always been the human eye, but that is of course a long & boring process (just ask MrMaryLou - LOL)

I have an old program called LinkBot that finds 404's & 302's & no dns & whatnot, but I don't think they make it anymore :(

I see it in my logs all the time. :D

I use XENU and its free :D

Just ran it last night and cleaned house on the redirects and no dns.. I use it to get a report and go through them by hand and black list those that redirect or pop BS..

I used to use Xenu in the past and as plateman says its very effective and free... but also very time consuming.

I now use LinksSQL which keeps the lists really clean and basically runs itself.

I also have my surfers reporting bad sites which is very effective.

But the best way to compliment all that is I pay someone at least every 6 months to physically go through every site listed. As GG said... its really the BEST way

I use XENU and have found it affective ........... but like GG said there's nothing like the humand eye..(found more by checking myself than bot has found) but what a f***en boring job

I rotate between Xenu and LinkBot Pro..but Iagree with all the rest..nothing like a nice booooooooooring Sunday checking links..

Works real well but my next script will have a bot built into it.

i have a good friend with a good bot and ones in a while he runs them on my linksites ( me very thankfull for that) and i check ones in awhile by hand, plus i check the cheaters forum here!!!
