What to do with these submissions?

What do you do with free site submissions that are good sites, nicely designed, decent content, follows all your rules but the ad text (and even titles and descriptions) are written in very bad broken English? Do you list them or trash them? I wonder if it even matters to the surfer....

For me I'm providing content. As long as there is nothing illegal, either explicit or implied, and it meets all my criteria then it gets listed.

Thanks for the advice Surfn. I think I agree with you. Who cares if the English isn't good as long as the content is. :-)

It would really all depend on how bad the text was :)

If it was a good site, would you take a minute to rewrite some of the text? In my case, my link list is so new that I have the time to do that! ;-)

My question with these submissions is this:

If they cannot put together a sentence in english, how did they read my rules? The sites might comply with my rules today, but there is not way to know that they understand (even a little) what was actually on that submit form.

I hate to list sites just to have to remove them two days later.

Alex

It's easier to read a foreign language than to speak/write it. At least, my experience that is.

My english is not bad, but not perfect either. I sometimes use wrong words and that a or an thing goes wrong. I can read english OK, I usually read all books in english. My favourite american writer is Elmore Leonard. I love hardboiled mysteries (lately I haven't read much as my sight is not so good as before).

But as I don't speak english daily I'm bad with spoken english. Once, at 80's, I came home and one black man asked me something. I cannot understand him at all. He asked me because I had english music magazine in hand. I had to say him "man, hold your horses, speak slower", lol!

I hope LLs don't reject sites because of small typos.

BTW, ja gavaru pariski...little...lol! |bananna|

Your English seems fine to me Finnbear. :-)

I was more talking about text descriptions and site titles that make absolutely no sense at all - in ANY language! That's what confuses me. |noclue|
