Green Guy & Jim can you show me how to get more traffic??

hey i want to know how i can get more traffic to my TGP site..
its low on traffic... like 2k daily...
and i was wondering how i can pull traffic to my avs sites??
any ideas??

Getting traffic to the TGP is not a question that can easily be answered :( There's alot fo things that you have to consider & experiment with:
Get the TGP lsited on a few auto submitters (which will also bring you a shitload of submits)
Trade with similar TGP's
Work the search engines
Link to it form whatever you are building (free sites, other galleries, avs sites, etc)

The AVS question is a little easier - check out our Traffic Resource database - there's alot of link sites out there that will list AVS sites :)

Yep, I agree with the concept of putting a link to the TGP on everything you build. So far it has worked for me, also helped increase SE traffic (wich is one of my main concerns)

thanks for the info =)
the avs resource will definitely help me =)

Consider this: every now and then (or however often you would like), but a gallery page that you submit to TGP's and instead of putting sponsor banners on the site, put banners that go back to your TGP. Not sure how widely accepted that is though...maybe others can give their opinions on that.

Getting traffic

I run a search engine at www.pertunda.com. Search engines usually give higher quality traffic than TGP's but send alot less traffic. You can submit your site to the SE if you want.

i definitely will!!!

thanks =)

I don't know about that, but I do plan to put a recip to my own tgp on all galleries that I make..each page..hope thats the right thing

Greenguy 2003-04-03 09:35 PM

amber438 - that is a very good practice to get into & it does work - I know from experience :)

virux 2003-04-03 10:41 PM

amber thats what i do too =)

Definately use your recip on all of your recip galleries, I do that as well. What I'm thinking with marketing a TGP site rather than a sponsor on a gallery is similar to making a gallery and putting up banners to go to an AVS site of yours, etc. Although I guess you could market an AVS site, then within the tour or the real AVS site, have banners to your TGP as well.

Fuseblown - personally I think that promoting just your TGP on a gallery/site would be a waste of bandwidth - when you think about it, you could probably build a normal gallery/site with ads & recips on the top & then on the bottom throw a nice table link to your TGP/LinkSite stating "more sites/galleries like this can be found over at..."

Im in the process of re starting my dead :hangman: Link List(weboflinks.com) again and would like your opinions on how many categorys I should go for when I start out.......its starting from scratch......like 10-15 SE hits/day......has got a PR of 3 though and thats good I think, for starters.

Greenguy 2003-04-04 02:22 PM

Go with as many categories as you have sites to list - meaning don't put up a baloon fetish category know that you have zero sites to list in it.

I'd say if you have 20-30 sites to list in a category, then you'd be fine - just throw the rest into general categories.

Stouch 2003-04-04 03:18 PM

Also try linking your galleries to an FPA as opposed to direct to the sponsor. A small "no thanks" type link thats leads to your TGP can often pull a few more hits. :)

amber438 2003-04-04 03:27 PM

what I do sometimes is
small link to more of my sites, leads to that niche fpa, no thatnks leads to that niche hub, no thanks leads to another fpa, etc....

Brav 2003-04-04 03:31 PM

I find still making doorway pages for each category work a bit. Brings in some extra SE traffic, plus lets you play around and learn what works with SE's and what doesn't.

I've been doing that for awhile, and to be honnest, it's my ONLY source of traffic hehehe. It's amazing how many peopel scroll down the fpa to find that "no thanks" link.

+++this applies to all posts,, too lazy to reply to each individually+++

Putting a link to your tgp or in my case "tease the phuck out of the surfer gallery pool page type thing" on EVERY page you ever build is key. If rules of certain situations don't allow you to do that and you get ebough click through to FPA to intruige you.. you may want to use a blurr with a few small 100x100 banners of all the sites you promote as well as a 200x200 banner advertising your tgp. A successfull "tgp" is all about numbers. The more cleanly clicked traffic you can rape out of a surfer that doesnt feel like paying yet the better off you will be. If you have a well designed tgp page with lots of teaser content, nothing too hardcore, you will be able to squeeze somehtign out of him eventualy. Even if it's just getting his email somehow. It's all good.

Using your own tgp as your banner "sponsor" on tgp's is a good idea, however alot fo the larger tgp's frown upon linking back to your own main site within the gallery. Exception of course is paysites with hosted galleries and their own submisions. Easypic is cool with letting you use your own tgp as your sponsor to rape traffic from him.

Another good tactic would be getting another domain and using it to host the galleries on, then use a recip to your "prominant" domain tgp... but in mye xperience recip traffic is just freelaoders who just want free porn. Using yoruself as teh sponsor is the most productive as well as "no thanks" links on fpas.

ok I've ranted enough....

hrm..... good idea... wonder if that would count as one of the 2 banner links allowed per gallery rule that most tgp's enforce???

Greenguy 2003-04-05 08:09 AM

I would think it would count towards your recip link totals & not your sponsors - hell, one of Tommy's buttons says "This site & others like it are listed at..."
