Oh .... so the same old AVS sites sitting there for many years suddenly violate their TOS by doing nothing? There has been no explanation on what the violations were about. No communication. No reply...

They have been stealing traffic from affiliates for years by redirecting surfers from certain countries to their own sponsors and they were the worst in terms of hidden x-sales.

Google does not care if outbound links have nofollow tags or not. They do follow those links. However, I share your doubts about blog commenting being an effective method for link popularity.

I believe you would be able to capture most of this traffic by yourself with basic SEO. Most of review sites' traffic originate from Google and Co., because they do better SEO than most paysites.
