Sure, a newbie can get into the biz for pennies, but what does that mean? They have hosting and domain name. So what? The learning curve is a bitch and it is progressively becoming more difficult to function with newbie skills, or lack there of.

Three years ago, the very first TGP gallery I ever built was listed by the Hun (and failed miserably). Today, a brand new TGP wouldn't considering touching that slop, unless they have a 'look what this dumb fuck submitted' category.

Look at the new rules for link lists in just recent months. No counters. No vid caps. No cheap TLDs. Shower and shave your genitalia before submitting.

Just as the thread in the business forum stated, this industry is maturing and evolving. But that doesn't mean the cost is going to go up. That's all supply and demand.
