I have a non-adult site that was a PR 4 and was ranked "no where to be found". The last time Google updated PR was a couple months I believe..anyways, Google dropped me to a PR3 at that time, within the past couple weeks or so my site has mysteriously moved up in the top ten under quite a few keyword phrases. So that should tell you a little something about page rank...
