This is one of the reasons you need to have IP level blocking, either single IPs or blocks. After I blocked off certain sections of Poland, Israel, and Russia, my submits came back down to much more normal levels.

Combine that with an itchy blacklist finger, the willingness to click the button to blow off all submits from an email address or IP, and such, and you can keep it somewhat under control.

I am sure that "type this in" systems like Tommy's or DangerDave's keep some of the riff-raff out, because they are too lazy to type anything.

I have one guy who has taken the top 100 search terms and is building sites with those names: "Free porn" "free sex" "teen sex" "cumshot pictures"... well, guess what? His submits appear to be excepted, but they are now just getting bit bucketed on the way by.

Oh yeah, one other good one is to check the reverse DNS for the IP submitting. If it comes back as the domain, or as a server, then you can be almost 100% assured that this was autosubmitted.
