Let's say that I did want to take your advice & let's also assume that it would actually help PR in some way.
I'd have to download the sites, probably reconfigure them to work on my server, ad my recip, upload them, find the 2257 info, etc. I'd then pay for the bandwidth & Google would see one site (me) linking to the free site & the free site linking back.
Big deal.
It's much easier to find the link code & slap it up.
