On the plus side I just found out that I will have a very nice tax write off due to storm losses not to mention I love my new remodeled home. I addition to my windstorm insurance I'm going to get full homeowner's insurance this year. I've only had dwelling insurance instead of homeowner's insurance for the past ten years but now with all the renovations that I did I figure that it would be a good idea to have full homeowners. Not that it matters in the case of a hurricane since dwelling or homeowners does not cover windstorm so that is why most people get a separate windstorm insurance. Being as I'm so close to the ocean I'm in the state's high risk pool. I can only imagine what my windstorm rates are going to be this year.
