There's some debate about that, but I would say the consensus is that they do read them and do attribute the content to the page holding the iframe.
This could change, tho.
All props to Jays new experiment, which is very interesting in many ways, but nothing beats hard links coded in the html, and probably never will.
Scripts fail all the time.
