the pictures are pre-Sep 2004 for my area. probably Dec 2003 - March 2004.
And google did aquire keyhole a while back. I also like
http://terraserver.com and the fact that you can actually buy pictures down to .15 meter resolution depending on the area, although their previews aren't as good as maps.google.com
