Are you kidding me? You should not be CHARGED for awstats!! It is free.

To answer your question though, most control panels have an "Update Now" button for AWSTATS so you can update it more often than the host has scheduled (normally once a day).

Hope that helps. I would seriously make sure your host isn't charging you for something that shoudl be free.
