I rarely visit my friends that smoke in their homes since even the stench that gets in everything just is repulsive. If they do light one up then I try to leave the room since even a whiff of it causes a reaction with me.

My house is a non smoking house but I do have a screened in patio area where my friends can smoke. I personally can't sit out there while they are doing their thing or I risk getting ill.

Pot smoke does not cause these problems with me even if I'm not partaking at the time. I don't smoke pot around friends that have a problem with it. Many of my friends are drug tested for work and even being in the same room as someone smoking pot can cause them to test positive.

Both my parents died from the effects of smoking even thou they stopped about twenty years previously. Growing up I suffered with incapacitating migraines that went away when I left home but it wasn't until some years later that I made the connection.

So it isn't that I'm afraid of dying from second hand smoke it is mostly I just don't want to end up sick for a day or two due to it.

Not sure if it is the nicotine or something else in cigarette smoke that I'm allergic to but it is something in them.

I actually don't know too many people that still smoke.
