I've lived in Florida since 1969 and never really gave much thought to hurricanes until Andrew in the nineties but even then it was just one bad one and years of nothing but then last year
we had this and you couldn't find any generators to buy. Three or so days of no electric really sucks. I'm also thinking of getting cheap ADSL in case my cable goes out again.
