I would like to add a couple of things here for ya. I have had paysite(s) for a few years now, and I can honestly tell you this. They are not for the faint of heart. You have to ask a few more questions then what you have stated here.
Are you prepared to fail? ( i know that sounds jaded, but the fact is paysites in the surfers view are a dime a dozen, and the failure rate is very high. Make sure you have plenty of contigency plans in place before ya kick the doors open)
Just how saturated is the market your going to be targetting? (for instance, Amateur sells well right? run a search on the search engine of your choice, see how many listings there are for, say, Amateur Sex, Amateur Movies etc) most people at this stage will just stare at their screen and blink........its understandable.
What do you really know about promoting your site? Both to surfers & affiliates? This is a toughy, honest to gawd, i stumble here still.
how much of your promo stuff will you have up on launch day? if i could do everything over again, and I can't. I would have 30-60 TGP/MGP galleries built, 30-60 free sites built, Good SE submission tools bookmarked, a HUGE TGP/MGP hand submit list and whatever else I was planning on using for promotion uploaded and ready to go before I had the join page designed.
How high are your expectations? and what factual information do you base it on? Oh if you only knew how many times i was gonna be a millionaire----no seriously, I was one of those "Gonna be Larry Flynt rich" thinkers, Guess what, I have seen what to a lot of people would be big bucks (less than frog farts to others) but i have yet to turn my first MIL. When I do, I'll let everyone know. Its been my experience that you should plan on making 0 profit in the first 6 months. Can you make a profit a hell of a lot sooner??? sure, stranger things could happen, AH nold could become govenor(sp) for crying out loud. But I would say, play it safe and work your finances for a slow start. It isn't as easy these days to break into the paysite game like it was 3-4 years ago.

I don't mean to come off shitty, but i really think having a paysite isn't a hobby or for hobbiest, and no I am not saying thats what you are, i dont know you. But I think anyone planning on getting into that part of the biz should have realistic plans and expectations, and approach it the same way you would a doughnut show in a strip mall. Ask yourself all the pertanent questions, and answer them to your own satisfaction before you invest dollar number one.

This i just my views on the opening of a paysite, and I trying to give some insight. I'm not attacking or belittling you. please take this in that light.
