As we have stated here many times.. be careful who you take SE advice from..
Baddog comes here after his filters are triggered by Boardtracker..
- posts a so-called "fact",
- then supports that fact with an article written by
his "employee",
- for a site that
he owns,
- and then posts that
he has the solution to the so-called "problem"
- and the solution is a "product" that directly makes
him money..
........
Bill is correct... it is still debatable.. and Google NEVER posts facts about the results it returns..
You will only see
opinions posted as to what people
think is true..
........
Baddog is "quoting" a reference that is VERY SPECIFIC for a VERY SPECIFIC purpose and nothing to do with the question asked..
Referenced page - Google Web APIs Reference -
http://www.google.com/apis/reference.html
#1. It is only to do with use of Googles API
Subsection - 2.3 Automatic Filtering -
http://www.google.com/apis/reference.html#2_3
#2 It is only to do with automatic filtering when using Google's API
Paragraph - When enabled, filtering takes the following actions: -
http://www.google.com/apis/reference.html#2_3
#3 It only happens when the filter is applied
to Google's API
... therefore it is TOTALLY irrelevant to the question asked, and manipulated as a scare tactic to promote a product.
There are very few
facts known about Google and the way it ranks results... but there are 100s of "companies" that will tell you they
know things, because it makes them money.
The same rules alway apply...
Build content rich sites - (text not pictures)
Don't try to use "secret" techniques to build your ranking.
Be relevant
Link relevantly
Link normally
It is that simple..
