As an adult reader I find RAH kind of silly- science fiction writing has evolved a lot since his day. But, while I rarely read his stuff anymore, or re-read I should say, he will always have a special place in my thoughts.
It's no exageration to say that Stranger may have influenced me religiously more than any other book I've read. I read it at exactly the right time for it to imprint me with a deep sense of libertarian spirituality.
Crazy thing to say about a science fiction book, but there it is.
