- make sure you read and research as much as possible
- don't be afraid to ask specific questions on boards like gg&j
- never try to cheat, thinking you are clever enough to get away with it, all cheaters get caught

and finally, good luck and have fun, this is a great industry to get into, very friendly and relaxed people.
