Many on Dubya's short list have stated clearly and publicly that they wish to write thier owns laws based on thier own personal beliefs, which seems to make them unfit to perform the role of judge or justice in our system of government but some how they're able to continue.
Dubya had to appoint a conservative. He had no choice on that issue but at least this guy hasn't proven that he wants the position to rewrite laws. At least he wasn't appointed because of this religeous beliefs.
Besides, which justices ruled that local governments can take anything that you own and give it to private businesses?
I don't really want conservatives as justices but this guy is about as moderate as Dubya could have possibly appointed.
