I was always embarassed by the things I had and even more by the things that I didn't have. That's just part of being raised poor in America. I don't think other cultures concern themselves with 'stuff' the way we do here. When I was married the first time, I had Saabs, Volvos, and, more recently, a gorgeous Benz. After the divorce, I traded the Benz for a Jeep cause it was cheaper to maintain but to this day, I miss that damned car. But I also realize that I'm me without the car too..but..
