Erick: All set

Osiris: You're on the right track

I've discovered recently that I'm more strict on blind links than many other LL owners, but I do not by any means consider all text links blind...

I believe that a surfer should know they're being sent to a paysite one way or another. I don't allow sponsor links like "Click here for more free movies" and such because surfers tend to be pissed off when they think they're getting genuine freebies and all they're actually in store for are a few 20 sec previews on a tour. At the very least they need to know they're going to another site.

There are dozens of ways to add a couple words to a text link to make it clear that it's a link to another site and/or a sponsor site. Blind link traffic sucks and is extremely difficult to convert, but a surfer who knows they're going to a paysite tour at least understands that someone is going to be asking them for some cash at some point.

I use text links heavily on my free sites, and I usually throw in "join for only $x.xx", "get instant access", "join free" (if that's the case with the paysite ) or one of the things I put above.

I obviously can only speak for myself, but I'm happy to go on at length about what I do and don't consider a blind link so everyone understands
