Because the serious cam spenders are fickle guys who are "in love" with her this moment, but in two weeks time will fall "in love" with some other girl. If she has done the intro to the site with that other girl then even when the guy stops spending all his pay check on her she will continue to get the % of what he is spending on the new girl.
It's a sort of risk mitigation, and you can end up with a pool of guys spending more hours with different girls (you getting % of their take).
Also, she can't be on-line all the time so if she's not around when the guy needs to play he may well end up playing with someone else, and again she gets a %.
The key point here is that there are these particular big spenders who spend crazy amounts, everybody wants to catch them -- and getting a % when they are camming with another girl is still good stuff.
If introducing them to a site with more hot girls keeps them around then so be it.
