There is No Afterlife when you are dead you are just dead ya lay in a box and slowly rot away. Religion was made by two monkeys one day that were picking lice off of each other and the thought pooped into their head we need some sort of control factor So they thought about it for weeks then came up with religion.
If people think if they do " right things" then one day they will go to a better place . Then you cut down on the chance of total fucking anarchy and chaos.
Take away religion and no one gives a fuck if they kill 2 million people nothing will happen to them in the end they will just be dead no heaven or no hell just lay in the box and rot.
