|cool| I saw DeepThroat the movie.. $10.00 at the 47th street theatre.. i think i was 17 and had to sneak in with my friends..

boring.. but I guess it was really ground breaking..
Now Caligula that was a different story.. it took me 5 attempts to watch it through.. finally my friends Neal and Charlene forced me to watch it.. I LOVED the 'Fuck room" scene with the live friezes. I've since rented it a few times.. but it doesn't translate nearly as well on a small screen as it did in full technocolor... especially with all the guys jacking off behind me..
What most amazed me was
Peter O'Toole.. i mean really Lawrence of Arabia.. ??
Malcolm McDowell???
SIR John Gielgud??
I guess even "classic" actors have to work.
and Vivid is remaking it.. woot..
The real thrill about the "dirty movie district on 8th and 9th ave" was getting into the gay ones, like the Adonis. Big Signs posted "No women allowed" but straight porn rarely if ever showed the male "member" so we girls used to sneak into the gay movie houses, hair piled under our hats etc..
Life was grand until 1981.. |cool|
