I have to ASSume that you are speaking only of Internext because in almost ALL other industries, no-one does it for nothing. Honorariums are common and range anywhere from passes + a $ amount and expenses, to upwards of 1000's of dollars plus perks. Even 'industry-centric' panels pay their panelist's expenses and for their time.
Even in the non-profit world they are paid a minimum and our industry is certainly for-profit even tho some of us are still looking for them.
