In case you haven't been told this already, you should write down everything you can remember about this while it is still fresh in your mind. Take as many pictures as is safe to do and possible, write down everything that happens to you, with a note or estimate of the time, every name you can, every detail you can.
This will probably be worth it's weight in gold later, as these things take a while, and courts and lawyers are more responsive to notes and details.
