First Anti-Hangover 'Shot' Takes Flight in Las Vegas
Can be taken straight or mixed into your cocktail.
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) December 8, 2005 -- A hot new lime flavored hangover prevention supplement shot that can be taken straight or mixed into cocktails has become an instant sensation upon rolling off the production line this month.
Las Vegas-based Cheerz USA, Inc. will unveil its new 'Lime Peelerz' with an intimate premiere and karaoke party at Mist Bar & Lounge at Treasure Island on Monday December 12. Guests including industry gatekeepers and media will be served complimentary shots from the Cheerz Girlz. The product has begun shipping to a select group of nightclubs and bars across the country in time for the upcoming holidays, with distribution to 2,500 major retailers scheduled for the New Year.
The product has already captured the attention of the hard partying Vegas celebrity jet set. "We're told Nicky Hilton and her pals always snap it up whenever they're staying at the Palms, and Kevin Federline got one of the first boxes of the shots while he was partying at Body English at the Hard Rock last weekend," says Cheerz USA President and CEO Patrick Cochrane.
Cheerz is a safe, natural nutrition supplement that has been clinically proven to combat hangover symptoms such as headaches, nausea and palpitations by naturally bolstering the body's ability to process acetaldehyde, alcohol's first and most toxic metabolite.
A recent Japanese study in the July issue of Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental Research, identified acetaldehyde as the culprit behind hangovers. In June, scientists from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) reported that acetaldehyde damages DNA in a series of reactions that can lead to cancer.
A 2004 placebo-controlled, double-blind, crossover study at the University of Southern California found that Cheerz was effective in 78% of participants who consumed eight drinks or more.
Named Best Hangover Cure in Jane Magazine's January 2005 issue, Cochrane says Cheerz promotes responsible drinking in addition to hip, healthy lifestyle.
"A few of the more stuffy corporate nightclubs have balked out of sheer ignorance because this is such a ground breaking product," says Cochrane. "But most bar owners understand that if they're going to ask customers to name their poison, they have the ethical and moral responsibility to provide the antidote. That's true responsible drinking. It's inevitable that Cheerz will become a staple of every bar and retail outlet in the civilized world."
Cheerz is classified as a food supplement and is approved by the FDA under compliance of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA). FDA certificate provided upon request. Under DSHEA, dietary supplements do not require FDA approval provided they are made from safe ingredients under Good Manufacturing Practices and do not contain drugs.
