Thanks for the replies so far.. sounds like I should be ok just putting the content a directory below the html. I don't mind duplicating the html, but duplicating 16mb of movies ( 8 x 2mb each ) would eat up way too much disk space. I like the reusability of the structure on the link juggernaut posted too, I think I'll do a hybrid type structure. Something like:
domain.com/ads/$SPONSOR/banners/
domain.com/ads/$SPONSOR/hpas/
domain.com/ads/$SPONSOR/oddsized/
domain.com/fs/
domain.com/fs/keyword-keyword/index.html [ biggest linklists ]
domain.com/fs/keyword-keyword/index.htm [ biggest linklists 2 ]
domain.com/fs/keyword-keyword/main;gallery1;gallery2
domain.com/fs/keyword-keyword/thumbs/ [ all html points to these ]
domain.com/fs/keyword-keyword/fullsized/ [ all html points to these ]
domain.com/fs/keyword-keyword/1/index.html [ smaller LL's ]
domain.com/fs/keyword-keyword/1/main;gallery1;gallery2
domain.com/fs/keyword-keyword/2/index.html [ smaller LL's ]
domain.com/fs/keyword-keyword/2/main;gallery1;gallery2
etc...
Anyone see anything wrong with this? The only thing I don't like about it is I don't want Google flagging me for duplicate content. Hmm, maybe there's a meta tag for that..
