Morning everyone,

I've been re-reading this unfortunate thread and i really am sorry that so much trouble has been caused by so little an action.

Again, i can only say sorry and it was never my intention to cheat anyone. I have about 9000 pages on the internet in various places and i deleted about 8 pages.

My mirroring folder layout was a bit more chaotic in 2002 and so it wouldn't have been as clearcut that me deleting a site would leave a few index pages pointing to it still.

As for the sites still being listed after all this time, it was my sense of You=big, me=small that means it wouldn't have crossed my mind that any of you would care too much if some small-time webmaster deletes a couple of pages off his server.

As for emailing everyone. Think of the logistics of emailing everyone that you submit a site to 3 or 4 years down the track, it would take hours to find their addresses etc.

As for the 404, this is what happened, my 404 is my index page of my LL, although i have often intended to make it a serious 404 trap with loads of adverts (as is often advised these days), but in this case it would have pissed you all off more no doubt. As Swegyuy says about sending it to a blank page.. but then you would lose ALL 404 traffic from your entire server's worth of sites.

And Stu, as for this page: http://www.tittyfun.com/entrance.htm I have no idea why or how that would ever be in a listing as a freesite as this is an old mirrored entrace page to a largely redundant LL of mine. Again it 404's with the others.

So, all in all these were fuck-ups it seems, but they were not in any way cheating. Anyone that knows me knows i have always sent them good sites and i am not a badguy in any way.

All i can say is sorry for wasting your time and that i have certainly learned something.

But i think we can all agree that maybe this thread got a little heated, and that "There but for the grace of God go I" perhaps.
