I also unlinked the image there. Not sure about the placement of the gallery links there - do you think the site could be rejected on that account? I don't want to place them at the top or in the middle of the text, unless I absolutely have to.

If there were a lot of other problems with the site it might be a deciding factor, but I wouldn't reject that one just for the gallery links.
What I'm noticing lately are sales coming from older sites subbed 3 months + ago, which is nice
but I wasn't tracking as well as I am now, so it's hard to tell. I think text can catch the eye more than banners sometimes, and there are more click-thrus on the text if it's written well (read: horny
) but it still depends on the niche, tour & site too. I guess what I'm trying to say is yes, I think more sales will come with the text, but it's a combination of everything around the text too
