“San Diego general manager A. J. Smith said Monday the team has declined to designate Brees, who played at Purdue during 1997-2000, as its franchise or transition player. The deadline for designating a player with either tag is Thursday.”

I think this is a huge mistake, they are on the verge of a great playoff run and they want to risk losing their QB for someone who has hardly played at all. Brees will be one of the top Free Agents if he is “let go” since so many teams need a QB.|badidea|
