Wow thats a lot of questions
I remember having the same type of questions the first time I went as well. Looks like most were answered.
We actually stayed and went to the AVN Show & AVN Awards 2 years ago..
Show = ok for one day
Awards = Boring, we left early.
We are still staying till the 11th this year, we generally always stay over a few extra days just incase I get a wild hair up ye ol kiester.
