I think there's some middle ground to be had there.
It's great when the model makes eye contact with the camera...for exactly the reason Kat mentioned...she's looking at the surfer. They (ok I)...eat that up
However, there should also be some shots of her making contact with whoever she's errr...'contacting'
She should look like she's having a damn fine time...and so is her partner...they're into each other...BIG time. And every once in a while...she looks at the camera with the...'Hey stud, look how nasty I can be...wanna get nasty with me?' look. Hubba hubba
